Mengawali karirnya di WSBK, saat melakukan tes pertamanya bersama tim WorldSBK Ducati di Jerez, Bautista langsung mengungguli rekan satu timnya, Chaz Davies.

Saat Balapan WSBK 2019 resmi bergulir, Bautista langsung mendominasi dengan menyapu bersih podium 1 pada 2 race dari 4 seri yang sudah berlangsung hingga April 2019.
